Early Bugs Bunny cartoon featuring a young African American version of Elmer Fudd who goes through similar punishment at the hands of original G, Mr. B to the G.

I remember being very young and thoroughly enjoying the old Bugs Bunny cartoons along with Batman, Underdog, and other great charicatures.  I never thought of Bugs Bunny as being offensive but I found this old episode and wanted to poll the Isispages viewers.  What are your thoughts?

.

Racist or Not????

This is what happened back in the day. I don't think that it’s a secret that this type of rhetoric is offensive.

What concerns me the most is when African-Americans become consumed in past grievances, but don’t focus on more important issues of today, such as entrepreneurship, the glass ceiling in Corporate America or the lack of parents making sure their children have adequate ACT and SAT prep so that their children could attend “good” colleges.

I would like to see more articles and discussions related to these topics, because many of the issues of today have become rather stale.

This isn't the only racist cartoon involving Warner Brothers or Bugs Bunny cartoons. Does Bugs' trip to Figi ring a bell.

Tom and Jerry had countless sambos in their cartoons.

It's all in the past anyway.
