In society, we categorize others based on their social arena, financial background, or cost of living.  Many of us fall into the trap of feeling; If a person is not “somebody” than he or she is a “nobody.”  The last time I read the bible it specifically stated: GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS IMAGE! So if this is true, why do we subject ourselves to the approval of man?

It is known that all chameleon species are able to change their skin color to adapt to their surroundings. This color change plays a part in their communication. Funny…

That intrigued me, because, the definition of the word adapt is; to adjust someone or something, to different conditions, a new environment, etc, or to fit, change, or modify to suit a new or different purpose. Something we have all been guilty of.  Now, if you have to change to achieve a goal, I am all for that, however, don’t lose you in the new you. It’s one thing to tweak you, but it is another to become a totally different person.

Please, do not misunderstand me, there is a time and a place for everything, but knowingly changing your essence, nah...that's not where it is. If the world was filled with the same types of people there would be no need for variety.

Rick Ross...with this recent Rick Ross scandal of him being a correctional officer, I couldn't help but to wonder, why couldn't he just say, "Yeah I was, now what? I'm still the biggest boss that you seen thus far." It amazes me, on how so many talented individuals sell themselves short to encourage conformity of that which you are NOT. All for the desire of approval of another, who wakes up and place their clothes on just like you or I? This is also evident in the modern day plantation; THE CORPORATE WORLD.

“Fitting-in” has been the downfall for many could have been(s). We as individuals need to understand that God created us for our Divine Purpose on this EARTH, and to glorify him in every way. Now, with this being true, regardless of where you are, you will be accepted for who you are.

People… know that your originality could change the game in your genre, whether it be athletics, music, business, whatever. The world has a place for someone just like you...not someone just like Keisha, Craig or Dae-Dae, but YOU.

If you are a person with a gift or dream beyond your present circumstance, do not acclimatize to what is. DO YOU!!!! Remember, people who accept things as they are, settle for things to be as they may. Be blessed. Contact me at lorie@isispages.com.
