It amazes me how we allow our ego to keep us stagnate in life. I was told once, we are one with life and it never steers you wrong because God is in control of it all.  Yet, when we are faced with hurt, and our wants, we tend to bypass what God is doing for our needs.

I have recently been slapped in the face with some hurt, not just through my own personal experiences, but also through the experiences of the people around me.  Our egos will sometimes make us obsess over something that should never be…grieving over it, not realizing that life (GOD) knows what he is doing.

In the moments of life, we gather up these ideas of our “right now” happiness, and we assume, yes, assume, that in this moment, if we got what we “wanted,” then we would be happy, but I am learning that not receiving what you want RIGHT NOW, can be the best thing in the long run, because God wants to give you what you NEED for life. It is evident that we are all here for duration and a purpose, and we fail to understand that in our duration, we are to be happy, so why do we battle God with our Egos?

The ego is nothing more but self doubt dressed up in pride and fear. Please understand that if the man upstairs has allowed something to be removed or has removed itself from your life, thank God that he stepped in for your good.

It’s almost like a child with a new toy. The mother gives the child the toy to play with, but suddenly takes it away, because the child is losing its focus on his school work (life). Yet, the child is so engulfed by that toy, it can’t comprehend why their mother would take it away, not knowing or understanding what the future entails, it just knows that it like that toy and wants it back.

I remember Oprah Winfrey said once, "I am thankful to all the jobs that have ever fired me, because I would not be where I am now." How profound is that?

People let’s stop allowing our egos to hang on to things that are not meant to be and let’s allow life to support us and give us what we deserve. And if your ego is all balled up in a wrestler's stance, how can your destiny step through? Ego is punching him back, stunting your progress.

Please let go of your EGO and allow God to do his business in your life. I will leave you with a scripture a friend shared with me.

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
