Do It 'Til You Satisfied

The aspiration to obtain life’s satisfaction is a natural desire of every man.   This can also be known as the American Dream.   This desire can allow one’s morals and priorities to take a back burner while in the "pursuit of happiness".   As human beings we often judge others on what we deem to be negligent decisions, but fail to take into consideration the nature of man.   We are inevitably all in search of our ultimate satisfaction in life.   How one obtain this yearning desire is a simple case in morals, "what one man will do, another one will not."
When I break down what satisfaction in life could mean, I believe it to be like a prescriptive drug.   You need it to "feel" better.   If you continue the use of this medication, you will become immune to it and willrequire a higher dosage to function, leading to a result of unmatched desires that will influence you to want the next level.Success and happiness is like a drug, you always want more once you get one hit.
When i was younger, I use to listen to the news and would ask, how could that person do this...and what kind of person would do that? Until it hit me, people, no matter how twisted a situation is or how backwards their thought process is, they thought at some point, what they were doing would give them some form of satisfaction in life.   So now, it does not baffle me when I hear that a single mother has left her children in a home for weeks to be with a mate.   Nor, when I hear that a drug dealer has been arrested for selling narcotics to his community, when a business woman has slept with her boss for a promotion or even when a teachers has slept with one of her students for the sake of not being lonely.   No, it does not baffle me, it hurts me to know that the desire to be happy in life is so strong that it can often suppress morals to the point that we will escape our character to dancewith contentment.   The American Dream, I laugh at the American Dream, because itis nothing more than a dressed up indulgence to encourage people to fight for something that this country’s forefathers have created instead of focusing on what dreams they can create for themselves.
In your quest to search for satisfaction in life, remember who you are so that your morals are not skating to the land of no return. Find your inner peace and satisfaction will follow, but "do it til you satisfied." Contact me at Lorie@isispages.com .
